AURINO, Barbara Joanne -- Age 75, of Swartz Creek, died peacefully in her home on April 30, 2014. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11AM Monday May 5, 2014 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek, Monsignor Richard Groshek celebrant. Interment at St Mary Catholic Cemetery, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Saturday, and 1-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, where a Sigma Beta Phi memorial service will be held at 6PM and a Rosary will be prayed at 7PM on Sunday. Visitation will be Monday from 10 AM until time of mass at the church.

Barbara was born, May 29, 1938 in Flint, the daughter of Laurence and Phyllis ( Kehoe) Reemtsen. She married Giacomo Aurino November 7, 1959 at St Michael Catholic Church in Flint. Barbara retired from Michigan Bell. She was actively involved in many theatre groups around Genesee County. Barbara was an active member of Sigma Beta Phi. She found solace with her Heartland Grief and Loss Support Groups after the loss of her husband Jack in 2008. She was a friend to everyone, she had a big circle of friends and everyone adored her. Barbara was witty and fun loving. She was an Excellent wife, mother, sister and friend.

Surviving are; son, David Aurino of Flint, daughter, Andrea Aurino of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Trevor and Andrianna; brother, Laurence Reemtsen and wife Mary of Pacific Palisades, CA; sister, Susan Goodman and husband Michael of Royal Oak, sister, Anne Ritchie and husband John of Birmingham; brother in law, Tony and wife Nancy of Burton; many nieces and nephews.
