DILL, Betty Lou – of Clio, formerly Trumann, Arkansas, age 87, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 1PM, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Nettleton Cemetery, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM.
Betty was born October 10, 1931 in Leachville, Arkansas to the late John and Francis (Ellison) Hannon. She attended Trumann High School. Betty married Edward R. Dill on July 12, 1947 in Trumann, Arkansas. They were married for 47 years before he preceded her in death on June 12, 1994. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her passion in life was taking care of her farm and family. She was an avid gardener. Betty had a natural green thumb with plants and flowers. She also enjoyed bird watching. Betty was an amazing cook and was famous for her down-home Southern fare. She loved to travel and her trips included visiting her family throughout the country. Betty was a real estate agent for over 14 years working with Blanche Bekkering Realty and Century 21.
Surviving are: Children: Sandy (Dan) Toone, Nancy (Keith) Whitman, Patti Dill, Liz Schad, Tammy (Larry) Parker, Jennifer Weber, and Mary (Kurt) Konopatzke; 23 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: Son, Edward “Rusty” Dill Jr.; Brothers: Bill Hannon, Junior Hannon, and Denny Haws. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mendoza, Dr. Rode and her nurse, Jeff Funck for their compassionate care of Betty.
