Bolesta, Donald Anthony of Flushing, age 88, died Sunday, August 19, 2018, at his residence. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Anthony Brooks will officiate. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Reverence Home & Hospice.
Mr. Bolesta was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 26, 1930, the son of Stanley and Katherine (Darmockwal) Bolesta. He married Dolores Kotcher in Detroit on December 4, 1951. Mr. Bolesta was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had been employed by General Motors for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He then was employed at Rossell Funeral Home for 20 years. He was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church where he served as an usher.
Surviving are wife of 66 years, Dolores Bolesta of Flushing; two sons, Lawrence Bolesta of Ohio and Paul and wife Ann Bolesta of Virginia; daughter, Diane and husband Steve Fondren of Flushing; grandchildren, Donald and wife Mandi Fondren of Flushing, Emily Bolesta of Virginia and Jessica and husband Joe Ward of Ohio. |
