FETTERS, Dennis L. - Of Flint, age 57, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Martin B. Watkins officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family.
Visitation 1-8pm Sunday and 1pm Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dennis was born in Flint on March 12, 1955, the son of Lester and Phyllis (Yount) Fetters and was a resident of Flint. Dennis loved hunting, fishing, baseball (an avid Tiger’s fan) and auto racing. He loved his Cocker Spaniel dogs. Denny could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He was a talented craftsman who took pride in a job well done. At a young age and with great entrepreneurial spirit, Denny started his own auto service business. Later in life, he produced and sold beautiful wood handicrafts.
Surviving are wife and friend, Mary;
children, Jacqueline (William) Henson and Kristin Fetters;
parents, Lester and Phyllis Fetters;
siblings, Janet (Kenneth) Sly, Bruce Fetters and twin sister, Debbie (George) Colley;
and soon to be grandchild, Isabelle Olivia Henson;
step-brothers, Les, Wayne and Bob Fetters;
many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Fetters.
