Norman Ross “Norm” Fischer of Davison, age 85, died Saturday August 24, 2024 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Saturday September 7, 2024 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Dave Boillat officiating. Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am until time of services. Those esiring may make contributions in Norm’s memory to the Care Team Hospice.
Norman was born in Flint Michigan on June 23, 1939 the son of the late Vercil and Virginia (Clester) Fischer and has resided in the Davison area the last forty years. Norman was joined in marriage to Oddie M. Hargraves in Flint, Michigan on September 16, 1961. Norm served in the Army Reserve for many years, and enjoyed Deer Hunting. He had a love of chocolate and always had a nickname for everyone he knew. Norman enjoyed visiting and socializing with his numerous friends and community leaders. He was actively involved in many local political elections and had a passion for politics in general. He owned and operated Eastland Shell Station for over twenty five years and had been an active member of both the National and Michigan Service Station Dealers Association and had served on several of their boards.
Norm leaves his loving wife of over sixty-two years Oddie, and daughters; Tracy Fischer, and Melissa (Brent) Harapat. He also leaves his loving granddaughter Mila Harapat, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by brother Vaughn Fischer.
