BROWN, Rosemary - of Montrose, age 83, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will he held at 11 AM, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Montrose Family Worship Center. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Tuesday from 11 AM to 9 PM and on Wednesday at the church from 10 AM until time of service at 11. A VFW Ladies Auxiliary memorial service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Montrose Family Worship Center.

Rosemary was born October 3, 1930 in Montrose, Michigan to the late Herbert and Ethel (Rose) Hobson. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1948. Rosemary married Warren Brown on August 20, 1949 in Flushing. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1996. She was employed at AC Spark Plug for 35 years, retiring in 1984. She was also a member of UAW Local 651. Rosemary also served on the Board of Directors at Dort Federal Credit Union for 41 years, retiring in 2013. She was a member of the Montrose Family Worship Center. Rosemary was also a former member of the VFW Post # 5666 Ladies Auxiliary in Flushing. She also served as a volunteer at the former Genesee Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed cards, dancing, music and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: 5 children: Nancy (John) Mullaly of Swartz Creek, Randa (Danny) Lee of Flushing, Becky (Jim) Pauley of Greenwood, IN., Kathy (Mike) Hazlewood of Flint, Mike (Lisa) Brown of Flint, Linda Prescott of Chandler, AZ. Grandchildren: Michael, Maryann, Jason, Charles, Jarod, Daniel, Amanda, Krystle, Jordon, Tammy, Jennifer and Pat. Great grandchildren: Kayla, Nick, Selena, Hunter, Randy, Addison, Kaylavina, Ashleigh, Jarod, Brayden, Dylan, Mavrick, Kolton, Jake and Hunter. Great great grandchild, Payton. Brother: Charles (Peggy) Hobson of Montrose. Rosemary also leaves behind all of her loving nieces and nephews and wanted them to know that she loved you all right back. Special companion, Fred Lacey. Special friend, Delores Franse. Special neighbors: Pat and Dan and Holly and Jesse. Lifelong friend: Alice Dice-Young. A special thank you to Dr. Larry Alton, Dr. Ponzi and her dialysis nurses, Larry and Natalie. Thank you also to McLaren Hospice, Clio Senior Center, her Bunko, Domino and card playing friends, the Conrad family and her music friends. Rosemary was also preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Warren and siblings: Florence, Ruth, Herbert Jr., Maxine and Floyd.
