MEERE, Peter Thomas – Of Durand, age 58, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center.
A Service for sharing will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road with a Military Service under the auspice of the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155 Honor Guard.
Those desiring may make contributions for the wishes of the family.
Visitation 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Peter was born in Cambridgeshire, England on May 15, 1953,the son of Thomas and Veronica Meere. He served in the U.S. Army. He loved hunting, football, Spartans, Red Wings, Boston Red Socks and playing cards. Mr. Meere was employed by GM Truck & Bus and was a member of UAW Local #598.
Surviving are sons, Shawn and Pete;
sister, MaryAnn and husband Jimmy Blood;
niece, Jennifer;
nephews, Jimmy and Brian;
special friends, Diana McKay and Vicky Reaves;
special cousin, Ed Townsend.
