BLOSS, Winona "Dorothy" - age 93, joined her Heavenly Father on May 31, 2016. Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Dr. Gary Glanville officiating. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8:30 PM Thursday and 5-8:30 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will also be held from 12 PM - 1 PM Saturday at the church. She was born the daughter of Romia and Alta Granger and had resided in Swartz Creek her entire life. She married F.D. Wayne Bloss on June 13, 1942. Dorothy was active in the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, the Mary Martha Circle and the Swartz Creek Senior Center. Doing volunteer work was her specialty, lending a helping hand whenever needed. She was a 4-H sewing and cooking leader for 41 years, teaching many area children. Dorothy loved to bake cookies; henceforth she will always be known and loved as our "Cookie Grandma". Surviving are her children: Carol Ann (Wayne) Sonnevil of Marcellus, MI, Ilona (David) Hagon of Nashvillle, MI and Roger (Linda) Bloss of Swartz Creek. Eleven living grandchildren, Scott, Edward, Carl, Eric, Deanna, Tammy, Rick, Julie, Kathy, Steven and Tim. 33 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. brother, Louis Granger of Owosso, sister, Evelyn of Mt. Morris, sisters-in-law, Marion Granger of Swartz Creek, and Leta Taekens of Davison; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Winona was preceded in death by her loving husband, F.D., grandson, Patrick Hagon, brothers, Roland and Jerome Granger, brothers-in-law, George Dzurak, Jerry Perkins, Jesse Ezell, Paul Taekens and Robert Angle; sisters-in-law, Lucille Granger, Mary Granger, Florence Ezell, Gwen Perkins and Ilene Angle.
