MORIARITY, Michael Timothy – of Columbiaville, age 74, left us unexpectedly on August 16, 2015. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11AM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Burial will be in Dodge Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Wednesday. There will also be an hour of visitation before the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Oakdale Guardianship or The American Heart Association.
Michael was born April 10, 1941. He married the love of his life on January 11, 1969 Dyane. They enjoyed 41 years together. Michael retired from GM after 34 years of service. He was an avid fan of both his grandchildren’s sporting events and rarely missed a game. He was an exceptional neighbor, always helping when he could. He was a steadfast friend to all and will be missed at breakfast time at Curley’s LakeHouse Grill. He was his daughter’s hero all his life. He set the standard in every way. Mike always told every one what they needed to hear, not necessarily what they wanted to hear. He will be surely missed by everyone who knew him.
Michael was preceded in death by wife, Dyane and son, Greg. He leaves behind to cherish his memory daughter, Shannon Moriarity (Mark Berta), grandchildren, Grace Kowitz and Gregory Moriarity (Ashley Beyer) ; great-grandson, Weston; brother, Dennis Moriarity and family; special friends, Ron Smith and Wanda Thomas.
