James Edwin Clark, age 93 of Clio, passed into eternal glory on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Born to Edwin J. and Vera Ellen (Stoddard) Clark on February 6, 1925 in Durand, Michigan. He lived in Shiawassee, Lapeer, and Genesee counties. Judge Jennie Barkey stated that if Jim’s never failing sunny personality could be bottled it would be worth a million dollars and everyone would want it. He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Carol (Tom) Seaver of Kimball, Bill (Marcia) Gregor of Lawton, Father Peter Gregor of Honduras, Julie (Fritz) Teutsch of Schoolcraft, Marian (Matthew Kerwin) Gregor of Chelsea, Diane Byrne of Oshtemo, Jeanne (Bill) Grashorn of Granger, IN, Clark (Wendy) Gregor of Portage; many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Beatrice Clark Fox and Clara Clark Gregor and niece, Janey Gregor Tomilo of Lawton. A funeral service will take place at 12pm on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11am. Interment at Union Plains Cemetery in Byron, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Olancho, his nephew’s missionary work in Honduras or Mission Eurasia for the missionary work of his great-niece, Erin Shakhmayeva in Russia. |
