KOSMAN, Athina – Of Swartz Creek, age 84, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Genesys Convalescent Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at
Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 East Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc, Father Angelo Maggos officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, St. Nicholas or Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 12-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Parastas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kosman will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
Athina was born in Greece on October 14, 1928.
She married Philip Kosman in Greece in 1951.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, and St. Catherine’s Women’s League.
Mrs. Kosman was previous owner of Philips Grill, Capitol Coney Island and Kosman's Carriage House Supper Club.
Surviving are children, Vasilios Kosman of Fenton and
Mary Kosman of Linden;
grandchildren, Philip A. Kosman, Stefanie Kosman, Cassidy A. Kosman and Caleb R. Kosman;
many nieces, nephews, other family members throughout Greece, Macedonia and the U.S.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; parents, John and Christina Evangelidis.
