Kayanek, Peggy Sue - age 64 of Flushing, died October 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held 3PM Wednesday, October 17 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek (Mundy Township). Visitation 2PM-8PM Tuesday, and 1PM to time of service Wednesday at Hill Creek Church. There will be an American Legion Auxillary Service at 7PM Tuesday evening. Those desiring may make contributions to Melanoma Research Foundation.
Peggy was born January 13, 1954 in Pontiac the daughter of William and Phyllis (Bill) Dickerson. She married John M. Kayanek in Flint on November 2, 1974. Peggy graduated from Hamady H.S. in 1971. She was a homemaker. Peggy served as President of the Swartz Creek American Legion Lady's Auxiliary, She was an avid scrap booker. She raised funds for various charities. She volunteered to visit patients at the Battle Creek VA Hospital. Peggy was a creative party organizer who loved to help those in need. She had a 'Big Heart".
Surviving are: husband, John; son, Jeff; grand daughter, Brooklyn and her mother, Nicole Daly; brothers, Ronnie Dickerson, David Dickerson, and Raymond Dickerson; special sister, Teresa Robinson, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Beverly (Mike) Swedorski.
