DORRIS, Frank D. – Of Burton, age 74, passed on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
Respecting his wishes, cremation occurred immediately following his passing.
Frank was born one of five siblings on December 16, 1943, the son of the late Arthur and Lucille (McCluskey) Dorris.
Frank married his childhood sweetheart, Ruth Ann Hecko, on March 28, 1964 and had two children, Sherry and Joseph.
Frank and his wife, Ruth, owned and operated Frank’s Pizza in Flint for 45 years, serving the community through their business.
After retiring, Frank continued to serve the community through volunteer work at the Burton Senior Center.
Frank is survived by his wife, Ruth;
daughter, Sherry (Todd) Jager;
son, Joseph (Patti) Dorris;
grandchildren, Eric Jager, Mark Jager, Jordan Jones and Max Jones;
sisters, Shirley (Gary) Ballentine and Glenda Driskill;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Pat Lopez and Louise Coleman.
Continuing his spirit of sharing and friendship, a celebration of Frank’s life will be held with a potluck (dishes optional) at the Burton Senior Center on August 25, 2018 1-5 p.m.
