ROGERS, Naomi – of Flint, age 99, died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at her residence. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Naomi was born February 19, 1921 in Clare, Michigan to the late Samuel and Millie (Keysor) Silver. She grew up in Mt. Morris, Michigan and graduated from Flint Central High School in 1939. On October 3, 1942 she married Barney Clinton Rogers and he preceded her in death in 1969. Prior to her retirement in 1988, Naomi worked for AC Delco/GM at the Tank Plant for several years. She enjoyed playing bingo, slot machines at the Casino, and sewing. Naomi also liked flowers and trees in bloom. She was very kind, generous, and liked helping her grandchildren.
Surviving are; Daughter, Brenda Savage; Daughter in law, Nancy Rogers; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband Barney Rogers; Son Barney “Bud” Rogers Jr; Grandchildren, Jessie Rogers, Raymond Rogers, Barbie Lynn Rogers, Gabrielle Savage.
