SINCOCK, John William, Jr., Age 93, of Flint Township, died Saturday, October 29, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Ave. Flint, MI 48532. Fr. Anthony Strouse celebrant. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Tuesday from 3-8 PM, where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM and at the church Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
John was born February 27, 1923 in Allouez Township, the son of John William Sincock, Sr. and Clara Beauchamp. He graduated fromGrand Blanc High School. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. in the Marine Air Group "MAG 61". John married Betty Jane Hall August 16, 1947 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Flint and she preceded him in death May 5, 2013. He owned and operated Precision Drill Grinding Company. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. The family wishes to extend special thanks to his caregivers at McLaren Hospice, McKella and Valerie, and his other caregivers, Missy, Troy, and Katie.
Surviving are: daughter, Susan and husband Tony Chiano of Swartz Creek; daughter-in-law, Mary Sincock of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Katie and husband Steve Stiff, Jaclyn Sincock, Kara Chiano, and Kristy and husband Justin Blevins; great grandchildren, Autumn Grace and Keegan Gary Stiff and Ava Lynn Blevins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Sincock; sisters, Geraldine Bohnsledt and Betty Lutze; and brothers, Douglas and Lloyd "James" Sincock. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
