WOODWARD, Bernadette J. – of Millington, age 89, died Friday, November 16, 2018 at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Frankenmuth. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Monday, November 19, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor David Somers officiating. Burial to follow in Newton Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2PM until 8PM and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Bernadette was born May 1, 1929 in Millington, Michigan to the late Arthur and Laura (Bishop) Latham. She graduated from Vassar High School in 1948. Bernadette married Roland Woodward on September 11, 1948. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was a previous member of Arbela Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Vassar. Bernadette also attended the First Baptist Church in Vassar. She was also a member of the Frankenmuth Christian Women’s Group. Bernadette enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and puzzles.
Surviving are: Children: Douglas Woodward, Donald Woodward, and Carol (Rod) Miller; Grandchildren: Amy (Jeremey) Sills, Heidi (Jacob) DiBacco, Aaron (Amanda) Woodward, Jennifer Miller, Brandon (Stephanie) Cummiford, and Gregory (Kaitlyn) Miller; 12 great grandchildren; Brother, Ira (Rosemary) Latham; Sister, Arlene Latham, and sister-in-law, Carol Latham.
