Jacquelin Cavanagh, 92, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016. She was born August 12, 1924 in the Cleveland area to the late Carlos and Anna Goodrich. Jacquelin married the late John (Jack) Andrew Cavanagh in September 1945. Jack passed away in 2007. Jacquelin graduated from the Marion High School in Marion, MI in 1942. She moved to the Flint area in January 1948. She worked for the Grand Blanc Schools as a bus driver until her retirement in 1985 after serving nearly 25 years. She also worked with the Girl Scouts, serving as co-leader for both daughters troops from 1954 until 1964. She also enjoyed bowling, bowling on a league for many years. Jack and Jackie both retired and moved to Sterling after 38 years in the Flint area where they built their home, traveled and enjoyed friends and family. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church, Standish and she enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Omer.
Jacquelin is survived by 2 – Daughters; Elizabeth (Bette) Ann Hohn and Carol Jean (Richard) Heintze. She is survived by 3- Granddaughters; Andrea Nutter, Jennifer Hohn and Lindsey (Joshua) Billiter. Also 4 Great Grandchildren; Joshua Nutter, Colton Nutter, Lakynn Billiter and Jakob Biliter. She is survived by 2 – Brothers; Russell L. (Lorraine) Goodrich and Carroll H. (Muriel) Goodrich and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Monday, January 2, 2016 from the Community United Methodist Church, Standish, Michigan at 1:00 pm. Jacquelin will lie in-state from 11 am until time of service at the church. Family will greet friends and family Sunday, January 1, 2016 from 3 pm until 8 pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home – STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan. Internment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Marion, Michigan at a later date.
