WRIGHT, Charles M. "Bud" – of Clio, age 86, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11AM Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 520 Butler St. in Clio. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. Family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Bud was born July 31, 1930 in Clio, Michigan to the late Charles E. and Irene V. (Maher) Wright. He married Bettie McClane November 20, 1953. She preceded him in death August 21, 2006. Mr. Wright was a Korean War U.S. Marine veteran. Bud was a Production Engineer with AC for over 37 years before retiring in September of 1990. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Flint Banjo Club. Bud enjoyed playing the banjo, golfing, and teaching children at school to play the ukulele.
Surviving are: Daughter, Katherine McKim; Son in law, Rene Garcia; Sisters: Norma Nelson and Sue Anderson; Dear friend, Jane Revere and family; Many nieces and nephews. Bud was also preceded in death by his Sons: Marty Wright on March 30, 2011, and Mike Wright on August 28, 2016.
