Darby, Evelyn M. (Warne) of Flushing, age 87, died Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Fostrian Manor. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Rossell Funeral Home. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. Burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
Evelyn was born in St. Louis, Michigan, on January 4, 1930, the daughter of Ralph and Bernice (Greening) Barnes. She married Keith Warne in 1953. He preceded her in death in 1958. She then married Arthur Darby in 1976. Evelyn graduated from St. Louis High School and Central Michigan University. She was a Registered Dietitian for 42 years, retiring in 1992. Evelyn enjoyed traveling abroad, gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Darby of Flushing; son, Michael "Mick" and wife Val Warne of St. Louis, MI; two granddaughters, Sydney and Jamie. |
