MENNIS, Eileen Daisy (Gibbons)- of Clio, age 90, died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Cranberry Park in Clio. God has taken her home to be with her loving husband, Dale P. Mennis of 47 years. Eileen was the daughter of the late Guy and Daisy (Bohnsack) Gibbons. She grew up on the Eastside of Flint and graduated from Flint Central High School in 1940. She worked at AC Spark Plug and Citizens Bank as a bank teller, retiring in 1980. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Flint. Eileen married Dale in 1945, he preceded her in death in 1991.
Left to cherish her memories of love are: daughter, Bonnie J (Ken) Herriman of Montrose, Roxann S (Joseph) Huber of Clio; grandchildren, Troy (Donna) Herriman, Angela (Christopher) Kern, Mark (Margaret) Herriman, Trenton Huber and Tiffany (Richard) Charvat, all of Clio; great-grandchildren, Amber and Ashtyn Kern, Maegan Herriman of Clio, Jaimie (Miles) Breinager-Herriman of Millington, Karlie and Kelsea Herriman of Torrington, WY, Logan and Hayden Charvat, Alexys and Jocob Huber of Clio; great-great-grandchildren, Grayson Allen Potter, Ally Breinager; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: sisters, Josephine Bracken, Helen Perrault; brother, Charles “Chum” Gibbons. With deepest thanks to Cranberry Park of Clio for the love and care that was given to our mom. Also to Heartland Hospice for their love and care.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 1, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. John Musgrave officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 11-7PM and Friday from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM.
