Mary Ann (Henneke) Bronson, age 89, of Flint, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at her residence. The family will receive visitors at American House North (2nd floor lounge), 3375 N. Linden Rd, Flint, on Saturday, June 16, from 3-5 p.m. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to Mott Community College or the Christ Enrichment Center. Mary Ann was born in Flint on November 10, 1928, the daughter of Edward G. and Anna I. (Keilhorn) Henneke. She graduated from Flint Technical High School and attended Mott Community College. She married Donald L. Bronson on March 17, 1951, and they have three daughters. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School and served the church in many capacities. She was a Realtor for Henneke Real Estate, and prepared income taxes for many years. After retirement, Mary Ann and Don traveled throughout the world, visiting nearly every continent and many countries. They also visited every state in the U.S. She was a supporter of anything Flint: Flint Institute of Arts, the Sloan Museum, Bower Theatre, and Mott Community College. She loved flower arranging, decorating for holidays, and, most of all, her family. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 67 years, Don; three daughters: Denise Bronson (Charlie Flowers) of Columbus, Ohio; Linda (Jose?) Rosa of Ames, Iowa; Jan (John) Stieglitz of Sharpsville, Indiana; five grandsons: Aaron (Kirsten) Rosa of Karlsruhe, Germany; Jason (Christina) Rosa of Champaign, Illinois; Daren Stieglitz of Berlin, Germany; Karl Stieglitz of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Micah Stieglitz of Phoenix, Oregon; four great-grandchildren: Avery, Isabella, and Maxwell Rosa of Champaign, Illinois; Naia Rosa of Karlsruhe, Germany; brother Edward (Donna) Henneke of Flushing, Michigan; sister-in-law Joyce (Henneke) Stafford of Flushing, Michigan; five nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Henneke, and one nephew. Her bright smile, welcoming personality, and zany love of all things that played music or made silly noises will be missed by all.
