LEE, Robert D. – of Burton, age 81, passed away May 7, 2015 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Private burial will be held. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Monday and 10-11 AM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
Robert was born in Flint, MI on September 27, 1933, son of the late Benjamin and Florence (Riley) Lee. He married Beverly Jenkins on September 18, 1953 and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2005. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a Sharpshooter. He was a member of the Frankenmuth Conservation Club and was a marksman. Robert was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, tinkerer and fix it man. He was a caregiver to family and friends but most of all a loving grandfather. Robert kept the glassful and was generous and kind. He enjoyed snowmobiling and spending time in Northern Michigan.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Greg) Glugla; grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Aaron and Austin; brother, Jim (Lois) Lee of Nevada; treasured companion, Shirley; many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise (Dan) Rowe in 2002.
