STAFFORD, Beatrice M. Knotts - age 86, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, September 5, 2011 at her residence. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund in support of Dylan Mohr. Mrs. Stafford was born September 20, 1924 in Lafayette, LA, the daughter of Adam and Emilie (Benoit) Barras. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the Women's Army Corp and retired from the Social Security Administration. Mrs. Stafford enjoyed the casino and traveling. She loved her family and great-grandchildren. Surviving are: daughter, Patricia (Charles) Cranmore of Swartz Creek; two grandchildren, Kristy (Tom) Mohr of Swartz Creek, Keith (Stacy) Cranmore of Flint Twp.; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Mohr, Austin and Kaitlyn Cranmore; special friend and sister-in-law, Donna Spencer.
