PUTNEY, Clarance Leon – of Montrose, age 70, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church-Maple Grove. Rev. Fr. John Cotter and Rev. Fr. Joe Krupp officiating. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 1:00 to 8:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose and from 10:00 AM until time of mass at 11:00 AM at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael Catholic Church.
Clarance was born October 9, 1948 in Essex, Missouri to the late Clarance and Dorothy (Darby) Putney. On September 28, 1968 he married Kathy Reed in Flint, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2006, he worked for GM at the Metal Fabrication Plant as a Foreman for 43 years. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church-Maple Grove.
Surviving are: Wife of 50 years Kathy; Children, Scot (Kim) Putney, Sheri Gunther; Grandchildren, Ally Putney, Jessica Putney, Sydney Gunther, Ethan Gunther, Grant Gunther; and several extended family members.
