PESTA, Barbara Jeanne – of Montrose, age 81, died Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Barbara was born December 17, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Andrew and Christine (Hahn) Walle. She grew up in Bridgeport, Michigan and graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1956. On July 25, 1959 she married Leo Pesta in Saginaw, Michigan and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2018. Barbara was a member of Good Shepard Catholic Parish. She was a member of Canamera, Elks Lodge, and helped out with Special Olympics Bowling. Barbara enjoyed shopping, painting, gardening, and camping. She also liked to make ear rings, cooking, and spending time with her family. The family would like to give a special thank you to May and Adriane for making Barbara comfortable in her final days.
Surviving are: Children, Michele (John) Amon; Todd Pesta, Wendy (Jeff) Drake; Grandchildren, Robert Amon, Cody Drake, Monica Drake; Great Grandchildren, Corbin Amon, Alexis Neiderquill; Sister in law, Sis Walle. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Leo; Sons, David Pesta, Scott Pesta; Grandson, Matthew Amon; Brothers, August Walle, Donald Walle.
