Shirley Arlene Daughenbaugh, age 90, of Flushing, Michigan, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, August 25th, 2019 at Landings of Genesee.

She was born on May 14, 1929 in Clymer, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; two daughters, Paula Daughenbaugh of Flushing, Cheryl Koffkey (husband Kenneth) of Flint; two grandchildren, Kenon Koffkey (wife Christina) of Warrenton, Missouri, and Kurtis Koffkey (wife Christine) of Flint; three great-grandchildren, Kendall, Clara, and James; one brother, Kenneth Snyder of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Elizabeth Snyder of Pennsylvania; three brothers, Clare, Bill, and David; and two sisters, Louise and Lina.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Rossell Funeral Home in Flushing at 11 a.m. Pastor Rick Schmidt will officiate. Viewing will be held Wednesday, August 28 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Shirley was a wonderful wife, mother and sister. She enjoyed singing, playing piano, gardening, and entertaining people in her home. She also loved teaching, earning her degree from Marion College in Marion, Indiana and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University. She retired from the Owosso School District. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cornerstone Community Church.
