KNUTH, Gail Kathern (Shoup) - Age 72, of Linden, passed, Sunday, February 9, 2020. Funeral service will take place 1 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers will officiate with burial to follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday and again on Saturday from 11 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute. Gail was born on April 1, 1947, in Flint, daughter of Elmo and Margaret (Cook) Shoup. She graduated from Lake Fenton, class of 1965. Gail and Orlin were united in marriage on December 21, 1967 in Mt. Pleasant. She worked for 28 years as the secretary at West Shore Elementary School before she retired. Gail was an avid supporter of the Lake Fenton Schools football and band programs. She loved to travel and plan trips to Disney World. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting, sewing, woodworking and crafting. She is survived by her husband, Orlin Knuth; three children, Karen (Jeff) Morris, Kim (Randy) Lee and Kevin Knuth (Rylee Oleary); three grandchildren, Tyler, Randa and Ragan; niece, Julie Jackson; and nephew Tim (Tina) Johnson. Gail was preceded in death by her grandson, Trevor; sister, Carroll Johnson and parents Elmo and Margaret Shoup. Friends may share a tribute at www.shapfuneralhomes.com |
