FURNO, Dorris Virginia (Pratt) – of Burton, MI, age 89, passed away September 11th, 2019. A Mass will be celebrated 11 AM September 16th, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6340 Roberta Street, Burton, MI 48509; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon celebrant. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-4 PM Sunday September 15th, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM September 16th, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, in memory of Dorris.
Dorris was born in Flint, MI on August 16, 1930, daughter of the late Cecil and Nellie Pratt. She was a graduate of Bendle High School Class of 1948. Dorris retired from Life Uniforms after many years of service. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Dorris enjoyed gardening, Sunday breakfast, her children, and grandchildren. Dorris is survived by 4 children; David, Bob (Bobbi), Andy (Barbara), and Kathy (Mark) Hardy; 8 grandchildren, David, Tara, Jamie, Justin, Jordan, Logan, London, Evan; 2 great-grandchildren, Abby and Frank; siblings Geri Priest and Diane (Mark) Tyrrell; and many other loving friends. She was preceded in death by sister Donna Clemens, brother Cecil “Bubba” Pratt, son James Furno, and granddaughter Alicia Furno.
