Norrine Marie Taylor (Beeny) – Age 88, died Saturday April 18, 2015 at Medilodge of Montrose. Mrs. Taylor was born June 12, 1926 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Bernard and Marie Boughton. She was a member and Deacon of Flushing Presbyterian Church. She was always a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always positive and thought of others first. Norrine loved to travel, going to the theatre and spending time up north at the cabin. She also enjoyed baking cookies, puzzles, her Detroit Tigers and M.S.U. sports. When she was younger Norrine helped run her parents restaurant in Lewiston, MI. She then worked at McLaren Hospital as an EKG Tech and ER Admissions Clerk. Norrine was active in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, volunteered for many activities and after retirement worked at the McLaren Gift Shop. Surviving are her children, Randall Allen (Teresa) Beeny, Richard Robert Beeny, Susan Marie (Jeffrey) Gauger, Sandra (Scott) Tucker; step-daughter, Christine (Vic) Holove; grandchildren, Steven (Lindsay) Gauger, Scott (Laura) Gauger, Bridgette Beeny, Catrina Beeny; great grandchildren, Gavin and Gemma Gauger; nieces, Pamela J. (Eric) Tilden, Darla (Matt) Gore; great nieces, Ellie Gore, Autumn Brown. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her two husbands, Richard Beeny and Sam Taylor, and sister, Judy Elrich. Friends may visit the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reigle Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Monday April 27, 2015 at Flushing Presbyterian Church 5010 N. McKinley Rd., Flushing, MI. Rev. Teresa Peterson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Flushing Presbyterian Church or the Pediatric Cardiology Research Fund, checks may be dade to “University of Michigan” and sent to Medical Development, 1000 Oakbrook, Suite 100, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
