KARL, Evelyn Frances – of Flint, MI, age 85, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Maple Woods Manor. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, November 24, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint, MI, 48504; Fr. Thomas Firestone celebrant. Inurnment will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10-11 AM Friday, November 24, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Evelyn was born in Flint, MI on January 21, 1932, daughter of the late George and Helen (Gibbs) Karl. She was a retired Registered Nurse from St. Joseph Hospital (nursery) and a devout Catholic all of her life. Evelyn was an aunt, great-aunt and a great-great-aunt not only in title, but also in caring for all of the children in her family.
She is survived by her dear sister, Lucille Karl; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 of her siblings.
