CARR, Marjorie J. – of Clio, age 87, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at McLaren – Flint, with family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, April 15, 2019 at Community Church of God – 1215 W. Vienna Rd., in Clio. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday from 1PM until 8PM and at the church on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Youth Haven Ranch of Rives Junction, Michigan.
Marjorie was born January 12, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leonard and Mildred (Rabadue) Babcock. She married James E. Carr on February 6, 1965. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1992. Marjorie was a member of Community Church of God in Clio. She owned and operated Idle Hour Ceramic Shop in Fostoria, Michigan for many years. She also worked for Ju Los Bridal Shop in Vassar for over 7 years, and IMA Food Service for 13 years. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, ceramics, crafting and gardening.
Surviving are: 11 Children: Randy (Penny) Fulton, Rick (Kathy) Fulton, Sue (Kyle) Burgess, Jeanne (Rick) Skinner, James Carr, Janet (Vance) Herbert, Rodney (Paulena) Carr, John (Jill) Carr, Brenda (Chuck) Taylor, Becky (Mike) Yost, and Marcia (Sid) Babcock; 31 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; Sisters: Elaine Cottrell, and Janet Tobias; Many other loving family members. Marjorie was also preceded in death by: Grandsons: Mark Fulton, and Robert Hascall; Granddaughter, Samantha Fulton; Great-grandson, Wesley Skinner; Siblings: Lewis Babcock, Marguerite Harrington, Guy Babcock, Marcella Kinney, Grace Worthing, Lennie Rolison, and Orland Babcock.
