HOHN, Jerome Jacob “Sonny” - Of Flint, age 95, died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to Disabled Veterans or the Wounded Warriors Project.
Visitation 1-8PM Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Hohn will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the Mass.
Jerome was born in Lastrup, Minnesota on October 29, 1922, the son of the late Jacob and Theresa (Vosen) Hohn. He graduated from Bendle High School, Class of 1939. Jerome served in the United States Army in World War II. He was employed at AC Spark Plug as a skilled tradesman for 45 years, retiring in 1986. Jerome was a member of The Flint Bowman. He was an excellent archer, an avid hunter and fisherman. Jerome was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Surviving are children, Lanny David (Rose), Kathleen Marie (Vicky), Jerome Thomas (Marilen, Cynthia Ann (Mark) Hohn and Lori Jean (Jack) Courser;
8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Gertrude and son, James Robert.
