MacDONALD, Mary Jane – Of Flushing, age 89, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Medi Lodge Nursing Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 Cherry Street, Flushing, Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Robert Catholic Church School or St. Luke’s New Life Center. Visitation 11a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mary Jane was born in Flint, Michigan on September 29, 1922, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred Schultz. She married Robert MacDonald on June 8, 1946. She was a 1940 graduate of Flint Northern High School. She was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church and Holy Family Guild. Surviving are daughters, Diane and husband Gary Deitering of Flushing, Nancy and husband Tim Burns of Clio; five grandchildren, Joseph, Michelle and Eric Deitering, Dan and Chris Burns; one great-granddaughter, Makenna Burns; several nieces and nephews.
