Bennett, Trudy of Flushing, age 83, died Monday, October 29, 2018 at her home surrounded by her beloved family. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, November 3rd, starting at 1 pm at their home in Flushing.
Trudy was born in Stuttgard, Germany on January 22, 1935 to Otto and Martha Gaukler. She married William Bennett on February 28, 1958 in Windsor, Ontario. Trudy was a caregiver and owner her own daycare. She loved to sew, bake, travel with her husband, and loved celebrating her German heritage and traditions with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William; children, Chuck (Mary Kay), Diane (Cary) Garner, and Tammy; grandchildren, Ryan, Brittni, Chase, Lukas (Lindsy), Kylie, and Grace; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Finnley; cousin, who was like a sister, Adelheid Furst; niece, Pia Gaukler; and many extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Heinz.
