CORKINS, Frank A. – of Richfield Twp., Age 91, passed away January 5, 2015 at Maple Woods Manor - Clio. A Funeral Service will be held 12 NOON Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Jack Dowden officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Frank was born in Vassar, MI on December 5, 1923, son of the late Frank and Annie (Wilbur) Corkins. He married Olga Tremonti on January 20, 1945 and she preceded him in death on December 31, 2014. Frank retired from GM Ternstedt in 1991 after 32 years of service.
Frank is survived by his children, Dennis Corkins and Cathy (John) Glenn; daughter-in-law, Judy Corkins; special chosen son, Brad Tankersley; grandchildren, Sherri Hollenbeck, James Corkins, Justina (John) Lamson, Kirt (Donna) Corkins and Francis Tull; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica, Kambree, Brady, Drew and Jace; siblings, Viola, Mildred, Clarence (Pearl), Liz and Phoebe. He was preceded in death by son, Arnold Corkins; brothers, Carl, Clare and Ralph. The family would like to say a special thank you to Maple Woods Manor in Clio and their staff.
