Green, Retta Eva age 79, died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at The Pines of Lapeer. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Kerry Kirby officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation at 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Retta was born November 19, 1939 in Flint Michigan, daughter of Ernest and Marion (Bean) Bees. She attended Bendle High- 1957, undergraduate and master degrees - Eastern Michigan University – 1970. She taught 32 years in Flint Schools and retired from Neithercut School 2002. Active in numerous charities: Gleaners and was first president for Clio Glen Arbor, Girl Scouts, member of DAR and Red Hat Society. Some of her hobbies- swimming, dancing, roller skating and more. Married 51 years, Retta is survived by her loving husband Willie “Bill” Green, eight children: Judy (Green) Shelby - Burton MI, Billy Green - Mt. Morris MI, Denise “Nisa” (Green) Hacias- Grosse Pointe, MI, Jeff (Kathy) Green- Lapeer, MI, Kevin (Brenda) Green – Burton, Pamela (Green) Bigelow-Burton, Renee (Green) (Rick) Kirby of Grand Blanc, MI, Kelly Green -Estes Park, CO. Grandchildren: Steven and Sara Shelby, Brandon, Kyle, Zachary and Derrick Hacias, Cody, Gabrielle and Madison Green, Corey and Chris Green, Christy and Chancery Bigelow, Aubrey and Kurt Kirby, Kendra, Nathan, Ryan, and Rachel McPhee and James Muncie.
