JOHNS, Shirley A. - Of Flint, age 73, died Monday, April 20, 2015 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, MI.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, April 27, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church of Flint, 746 South Saginaw Street, Flint,
Dr. John L. Musgrave officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 2-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Monday until the time of the service at the church.
Shirley was born in Flint on September 10, 1941, the daughter of the late Elmer and Marion (Holdsworth) Pratt. On November 13, 1970, she married Clayton Johns in Flint and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2010. Shirley was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She loved needlepoint, oil painting and puzzles. Shirley loved going to her cottage near Cadillac, Michigan.
Surviving are son, Jack (Dawn);
sister, Sharon Potter;
niece, Tara (Matt) Potter and their children, Jacob, Steven and MacKenzie and nephew, Richard Potter (Nikki) and their daughter, Ashley.
She was also preceded in death by her brother.
