Elizabeth Woolpert, age 85 of Durand, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center.
Elizabeth was born October 12, 1927 in Howell, daughter of the late Floyd and Cordilia (Dinkle) Weeks.
On June 20, 1959, she married Stewart E. Woolpert. Mrs. Woolpert was a Registered Nurse for many years at St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
Mrs. Woolpert is survived by 3 children: Carol (Tim) Bluhm, Craig Laurie) Woolpert, John (Dena) Woolpert; 2 step-children: Jerry (Nancy) Woolpert, Connie (Norm) Koury; 7 grandchildren: Scott, Todd, Kevin, Clark, Jake, Kari, Kelsey; 6 great grandchildren and niece: Janet Chauvin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart, on December 9, 2012 and her sister, Lorna VanCamp.
The family will receive friends at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A private burial will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
