IGNACE, Joseph J. “Joe” - Of Grand Blanc, age 56, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1pm Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Road, Flint, 48516,
Reverend Philip Schmitter officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Richfield Toy Box, 3020 Airpark Drive S. Flint, MI 48507, or POAM, 27056 Joy Road, Redford, MI 48239.
Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Mr. Ignace will be at the church 12pm Thursday until the time of the Mass.
Joseph was born in Flint on September 16, 1957, the son of Joseph and Ellen (Madden) Ignace. On August 21, 1976, he married Marcia Kinnish. Joseph worked as a Plant Manager at Richfield Industries. He was a member of the Flint Elks and was a Grand Blanc Athletics Booster. Joseph loved to golf, his grandkids, football and cars.
Surviving are wife, Marcia;
children, Josh (Beth) Ignace and their children, Xavier, Juliette, Lillian;
Jeremy (Maggie) Ignace and their child, Tate;
mother, Jane Ignace;
4 sisters, Juliann (Paul) Martel, Janis (Mark) Dye, Joan (Kirk) DeFrates and Jill (Mark) Frase and brother, John Ignace;
and countless nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
