CURNOW, Cyril J. – “Cy” – Of Flint, age 80, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Cross Children's Services at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Visitation 3-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Cyril was born in Flint, Michigan on January 18, 1932, the son of Thomas and Florence (Mackinsey) Curnow.
On February 6, 1954 he married Vera Carlson in Salina, Kansas.
He enjoyed working on old cars, painting, fishing, hunting and yard work.
Surviving are wife, Vera;
three sons, Nicholas Curnow of Flint,
Christopher Curnow of Flushing,
Tony and wife Stacey Curnow of Davison;
six grandchildren, Nicholas II, Vanessa, Leslie, Adam, Colin and Alyssa;
two great-grandchildren, Nicholas III and Catherine;
sister, Shirley and husband Bob West of Arizona;
many nieces and nephews.
