MINIEAR, Donald R. – of Mt. Morris, age 74, died Friday, January 6, 2017 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 5PM Monday, January 9, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor David Weiss officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2PM until the time of service at 5PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Don was born February 28, 1942 in Flint, Michigan to the late Gerald and Madeline (DeLong) Miniear. Mr. Miniear retired from Chevrolet with over 25 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #659. He loved racing, especially hot rods and his Nova. Don also enjoyed going to the casino.
Surviving are: Children: Marie (Robert) Edmonds of Mt. Morris, Arthur Miniear of Honolulu, HI, Mark (Bridgette) Miniear of Chase, Dave (Tiffany) Allen, Steve Allen, Tommy Chappel, and Theresa Chappel; Grandchildren: Marcus (Christina), Scott, Michael and Madeline Miniear and Charles Miniear, Brittany, Aiden and Payton Allen, Tesia Freeman, Maria Medrano, Cody, Becky and Kayla Chappel; Loving furry companions: Boomer and Billy.
