KUMRITS, Alexander – of Davison, age 89, passed away March 15, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 5 PM Monday, March 20, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Visitation will be from 3 PM until time of service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice.
Alexander was born in Davison, MI on June 19, 1927, son of the late Louis and Jennie (Kolick) Kumrits. He served in the United States Navy. Alexander married Wilma Skutt on June 1, 1951. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Alexander enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He worked for 40 years as a local car salesman. Alexander was very poetic, had a wonderful sense of humor and loved his close-knit family.
Alexander is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wilma Kumrits; sons, Paul (Debra) Kumrits, Kerry Kumrits and Donald (Kim) Kumrits; grandchildren, Kara (Shawn) Gatzemeyer, Grant Kumrits, Ashley (Mike) Samson and Kyle Kumrits; great-grandsons, Jackson and Nicholas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and two brothers.
