BORDERS, Carolyn – Of Owosso, age 79, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016
Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 12 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Carolyn was born in Flint, Michigan on March 14, 1936, the daughter of Arthur and Avis (Hunter) Koepke.
She married Irving Borders in 1957 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 2005.
Mrs. Borders retired from K-Mart and Walmart.
Surviving are children, George and wife Helga Borders of Mt. Morris
Jill M. and husband Stanley Branham of Georgia,
Jaimie and husband Mark Walworth of Swartz Creek,
and
Jeffery Borders of St. Charles;
companion, Fred;
grandchildren, Brian, George II, Tony, Justin, Candace, James, Jennifer, Jared, Megan and Jody;
great-grandchildren, Kelly, Kaylana, Cody, Isabella, Alexander, Maeleigh and Avery;
three sisters, Gladyce and husband Tom Graham of Davison,
Annardis and husband Norm Dyer of Mt. Morris and
Sybil Ford of Flint;
many nieces and nephews;
half-brother, Gary Koepke; half-sister, Joyce Zastrow;
dog and best friend, Maggie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving and son, James.
