Robert A. Nyquist, age 92 years, died Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Fostrian Court Assisted Living, Flushing. He was born on July 2, 1920 in Rochester, MN, to the late Walter and Mabel (Ayars) Nyquist. Robert was employed with Occidental Petroleum Co. for many years and retired in 1980. He was married to the former Geraldine Ann Gibas and she died on Jan 31, 2000.
Surviving are three children: Richard (Brenda) Nyquist, Susan (Steven) Goodrich, and Kenneth (Kimberly) Nyquist, all of Flushing; five grandchildren: Andrew (Julie) Nyquist, Robert Nyquist, Robert (Kara) Jones, Andrea and Brett Nyquist; four great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at St. Patrick Cemetery.
