FREDELL, Gerald S. of Flint, age 93, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 10 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Flint. Fr. Thomas Firestone will officiate. Burial to follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Sunday, February 9 at Rossell Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. Rosary, and 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the Mass.
Gerald was born in Flint, Michigan on October 12, 1926 to Axel and Lucille (LaMonde) Fredell. He married Beverly Trudell on September 8, 1951. Gerald was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served in WWII. He worked for 36 years at Fisher Body Plant and was a member of St. John Vianney. He loved to read, travel, and go to the casino.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beverly; children, Fred Fredell, Gary (Marguerite) Fredell, Dennis (Mary) Fredell, and Jean (Ed Zimmerman) Taylor; grandchildren, Nicholas, Rosa, Dennis, Ryan, Tracy, Venessa, and Matthew; 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Fredell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Garrett. |
