MCNEELEY, Melvin M. – Of Grand Blanc, age 87, died Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions.
Private funeral service will be held, Reverend Dr. James M. Leonard officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc.
Melvin was born in Jacksboro, Tennessee on August 8, 1932, the son of the late Horace and Stella (Petree) McNeeley.
On November 18, 1955 he married Faye Stooksbury.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a past member of VFW Post #3243 Fenton. Melvin loved gardening and golfing.
Mr. McNeeley was employed by Chevrolet Manufacturing Plant #6 over 32 years, retiring in 1990.
Surviving are wife, Faye;
2 children, Randy (Janie) and Melinda Dager;
6 grandchildren, Seth (Andrea) McNeeley, Rachel McNeeley, Lindsay, Joel, Jordan and Olivia Dager;
brother, Marvin and wife Lorene McNeeley;
sister, Barbara and husband Bob Parks;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Ronnie McNeeley and sister, Rosemary Williams.
