HOLT, Wanda Bessie (Pocza) – of Grand Blanc, MI, age 94, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor David Hensler officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2020 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Grand Blanc Senior Center, in Wanda’s memory.
Wanda was born in Davison, MI on May 9, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Naczi) Pocza. She married Ross Holt on September 5, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 1988. Wanda retired from General Motors AC Spark Plug Division after 30 years of service. Her favorite retirement activity was attending sporting events, dance recitals and numerous school functions with her 7 grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and an active member and volunteer of Grand Blanc Senior Center. Wanda enjoyed playing games with her family, friends and grandchildren, especially bingo, euchre and other card games.
Wanda is survived by 3 children, Keith Holt, Karen Calianno and Kevin (Diana) Holt; 7 grandchildren, Robert (Brittany Brandenburg) Holt, Audrey (Justin Riel) Holt, Christopher Holt, Vinny (Alyssa Hartje) Calianno, Andrea (Tyler Scott) Calianno, Corbin (Julia) Holt and Lauren (Jeffrey Kline) Holt; former daughter-in-law, Sandra Florida; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Pocza; husband, Ross Holt; 3 siblings, Helen Horvath, Julius Pocza and Ernie Pocza.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Pastor David Hensler and the nurses and staff of Mid-Michigan Home Health & Hospice and The Oaks at Woodfield, especially the activities staff, for their compassionate and professional care of Wanda.
