PITTMAN, RETA A. – Age 79, our shining star was added to Heaven on February 28, 2025.
Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place.
Reta was born in Flint, Michigan on October 14, 1945 the daughter of the late Tranquillo and Edith (Popplewell) Sabucco. Our mama was the most loving person we knew. She never had an enemy. She was the glue in our family that always kept track of all the birthdays of everyone. Reta loved to dance, sing and enjoy get-togethers and parties. She taught us about love, life and religion. Our mama was always there for us for everything. She was our cub scout helper and took us to all our baseball games and sporting events. She was always willing to help us with our problems and remained positive in any situation. Reta was the first to volunteer when someone needed help and worked at the Red Cross and other charity events. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bill, and they loved being at their cabin in the summer. Everyone was welcome. She was a great organizer for events, parties and vacations. Reta liked selling real estate and worked closely with the school system. She cherished taking kids to the circus and the zoo. Reta would take anyone’s kids to watch people have fun. She loved kids the most and enjoyed babysitting. Reta’s favorite household game was farkle. She was one of eight kids and loved to get together with all of them. Reta also had a place in Florida that everyone would visit to spend time with her there. She treated everyone like family. All who know her feels the loss they will never get back. God bless Reta on her travels back with the loved ones she lost.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Shannon) Kemp, Doug (Kay) Kemp, Terri (Tony) Henderson and Sherman Suffel; grandchildren, Tracy, Lori, Robert, Ryan, William, Anthony and Luca; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Anita (Ray) Mularz, Christena Sabucco and John (Diane) Sabucco and several nieces and nephews.
