Roberts, Roberta “Bobbie” of Flushing, age 80, died Friday, August 21, 2015, at her home. A memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Fr. Kenneth Coughlin will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will be 1:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at the church Wednesday until the time of the Mass. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Roberta was born in Brandon, Vermont on July 5, 1935, the daughter of Eugene and Myrtle (Rowe) Mumford. She married Donald W. Roberts in New York on February 14, 1953. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2015. Bobbie was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed sewing. Bobbie also enjoyed bowling, traveling and jewelry making.
She is survived by her children, Linda and husband Dave Samulski of Warren, Cheryl and husband Herb Copeman of Howell, William and wife Sandy Roberts of Clio, Jim Roberts of Mt. Morris, Geri Roberts of Burton; dog, Toby; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
