Passed away Sunday June 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw; age 84 years. Gina D’Alessandris was born on April 16, 1931 in Italy. She was married to Pio Grossi in 1950 in Italy, he survives her. Gina was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, and a previous member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Flint.
Surviving besides her husband Pio are; 2 sons, Egidio (Paula) Grossi of Frankenmuth, MI, Orlando (Diane) Grossi of Holland, MI; 5 grandchildren, Mike (Amy) Grossi, Christina Grossi, Greg Grossi, Amanda (Bill) Knoester, Matt (Crystal) Grossi; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Gina was preceded in death by; 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Pasqualina, Emilio, Joe and twin sister Maria.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Frankenmuth United Methodist Church, 346 Vates St., Frankenmuth, MI due to repairs at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Fr. Robert Byrne will officiate with entombment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Gina’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Blessed Trinity Catholic Church or St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital Foundation.
